Baby Powder

It was last Friday when I thought this camel's back had been broken. Presli had already eaten breakfast. Bristol was full of milk for the moment. I was actually dressed with makeup on with my hair even brushed. I set Presli to watching PBS and playing with toys, and Bristol in her bouncy seat to watch Presli play while I ran up stairs to grab Presli's clothes. After I got her dressed we would be ready and out the door to go shop for a nap mat for school. Since Presli's clothes had just been folded and put away in sets, it took less than a minute for me to run upstairs and grab them. Alot can happen in 60 seconds however..... When I came back downstairs my precious 3 1/2 year old had emptied a large container of baby powder ALL OVER the first floor of our house. Well... all over the wood floor areas, and there is alot of wood flooring in our house. I know what you are thinking. "so what...it's just baby powder." WRONG! Our wood floors are dark, hand scraped hickory and WHITE baby powder is still glaring at me from those grooves and scrapes. That happened Friday and this is Monday. DAAAAANG. When I asked our precious 3 1/2 year old why she did it, she said "because I wanted everything to be dusty." I'm thinking "seriously??? what are you.....3???" LOL!

Presli and Pre-Pre-School

Presli will start going to SCHOOL on Tuesday! The school actually got an opening in our neighbor's 3 year old son's class! We went last Wednesday to check it out and tell them we wanted to sign up. Presli loved it so much, I had a hard time getting her to leave. Everyone was super nice and they have a really cool indoor playground area for when it's too rainy and cold to go outdoors. Miss P was super excited to get to go pick out a lunch box and water bottle. LOL! That's extremely important don't'cha know?!? She will be going to school from 9a-2p, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. It is crazy just how much she has changed since her 3rd birthday last July. She is growing up so quickly. She had a big growth spurt around the time Bristol was born. (10-27-10) And she seemed to have turned into a little girl over night instead of a toddler/pre-schooler. She's also getting more confident in her new role as big sister and I think that is why she is ready to spread her wings now, where she wasn't ready in September when we tried a weekly dance class. It was close to baby time and she didn't know what to expect, So she didn't want me to be out of her sight. Something that is very foreign to me because she has always been so independent.

I am predicting more anxiety on my part than hers, but I'm looking forward to Presli's school stories and getting one on one bonding time with Baby Bristol. : )
